Review of Chapelfield Community Group

The purpose of this piece of research was to see if attending the Chapelfield Community Group has any effect on the lives of the older people that attend the monthly group meetings. 

Halton Lodge Community Participation Group - Group Evaluation

The purpose of this piece of research was to see if attending the Halton Lodge Participation group has any effect (either positive or negative) on the lives of the older people that attend the monthly group meetings which involve various activities, arts and craft projects and speakers from either the voluntary or statutory sector.

Get Up and Go Club, Windmill Hill - Group Evaluation

The Get Up and Go Club, Windmill Hill, was established by Age Concern Halton in 2006 with the express purpose to reduce the social isolation that affects older people in the area (local authority statistics show that there are 661 older people (50+) living on the Windmill Hill Estate).

It is apparent in the borough of Halton that there is some uncertainty around the value of offering a telephone befriending service to isolated older people as it is considered a low level of support.

 

 

 

A study was carried out by Age Concern, in the borough of Halton, to see if a case could be made for providing services to reduce social isolation and lonelinessamongst older people.
